Frankly I think most any "major event" that could happen between now and then most likely will not effect the outcome of the election at this point. Poeple are fed up with republicans and know what they have done to this country over the past 8 years and know they want a change. It would take an october surprise that is some dirt on Obama or a serious gaff by him to make the trend change if you ask me...
