I sent emails to my Senators and Reps and to a few that are not for my state but have records I admire. I asked them to make sure they help the little guy first because that's the person hurting most. The money should come from the bottom up to "reflush" the system with capital in a helpful, healthy way.
We can see that isn't happening. Yesterday Bush said it could take months for us to feel the difference. It didn't take months for him to get our money. There wasn't even a statement made, "The US Citizens have given state treasury money and therefore should be protected from foreclosures and bankruptcies for a period of months." The whole, "for your own financial well-being we have to do this" is so obviously not reality. Can't we sue them or something? We should have had a People's Contract. Maybe we need a financial branch of government who's entire reason for being is making sure we are protected.
