Greetings,
I was in Chicago last weekend for a family event and had the good fortune to
cross paths with my favorite reggae band
THE ARK BAND who were playing at the Wild Hare

reggae club which is just down the street
from Wrigley Field. The Wild Hare is a
really nice place that is owned by reggae musicians so they really have a
great vibe going there. They hosted what turned out to be one of the most
fun evenings out in a long while. Enjoy the videos.

NOTES: As I had not planned to be shooting a band on this trip all I had
was one camera and no sound gear. Consequently most of the songs I recorded
have the bass heavily distorted as the level was blowing out the camera
microphone. That makes me feel terrible because the music that night was so
good and sounded just perfect live. I did check with the sound guy and he
was not making a recording so there is no chance to remix it. We'll have to
do it again real soon and do it right.
Of note on this performance was the new lead singer addition to THE ARK BAND
"Mark". Gotta say BIG UP all around! He really brings the band up a level in
my eyes and supplied some massive amounts of stage energy and good Rasta
heart vibes. As always the Band was tight, played some great new songs and
never missed a beat.
Another nice surprise was a guest appearance from Jamaican born Carl

Brown who performs at the WILD HARE regularly on Wednesdays
(ladies free night). What a great performance he gave as you will see in
the video. BIG UP Carl!
