Correct, Roger. Obama is extremely swift in shaking his head & saying "we don't need that." He shut them up quick. But Palin has just grinned whenever she has clearly heard people in her audience expressing their views that Obama should be "offed," e.g., "Kill him!" "Off with his head!" And, tru, tru, McCain did tell the woman who said "He's an Arab" that no, Obama was "a decent, family man." So I give him credit for that. That was the old John McCain that I remember from years past, when he refused to allow his audiences to disintegrate into base behavior & make sick comments about the opponent. But he has obviously been under some pressure from his advisors to let them get down, dirty and even extremely ugly. It is truly uncalled-for.
I too have heard some things that are really surprising from co-workers, the level of hatred & slander is really high right now. I've always been of the persuasion that, after all, this IS a democracy & that others should have the right to believe as they do. But I've never felt that it is appropriate for people to make such ugly comments. They are REALLY trying my patience with this election. I've NEVER seen the country SO divided. Jah help us all, please!!!!!
