I loved when Letterman asked him about Palin saying that Obama was associated with terrorists
pointing out how he was known to affiliate with Ayres
he
then continued to point out how when Ayres was 29 Obama was 8
hmmm...what can one make of that???

but better than that was Letterman then making a point of McCain's association with Gordon Liddy
McCain was tongue tied
stuttered and said nothing until they returned from break
then went on to say he had nothing to hide of his association with that man

of course Letterman took that opportunity to use the analogy so McCain MIGHT understand
he probably did understand but that won't,I don't think,stop him from still trying to win over those undecided voters with these types of allegations
