Writer's quote: "McCain, by contrast, opposes Roe and would appoint judges likely to overturn it"

Lola, I understand that this is not your writing. I do take issue with the writer's comment, rather think it should be noted that McCain specifically stated that he would NOT apply any such litmus test unlike Obama has said.

And just who has McCain voted for? Justices Anthony M. Kennedy, a moderate; David H. Souter, a liberal; Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a liberal and former lead attorney for the ACLU and Stephen G. Breyer, another liberal:

Moderate
==========
Kennedy - 69

Liberals (4)
===========
Ginsburg - 72
Stevens - 85
Souter - 66
Breyer - 67

Conservatives (4)
================
Scalia - 69
Thomas - 57
Roberts – 51
Alito – 55

The Democrats and Obama have used there fear tactics to convince the American people we need to concerned with McCain's choices. Clearly, evidence shows McCain to be much more moderate than Obama ever would be. How do we know? McCain's record matches his stated intentions. As for Obama? He voted against both Alito and Roberts because he said they did not fit his dieology. Who needs to be feared? He posited his position on abortion, a clearly defined conservative and liberal issue. If he states clearly he will do this on that basis, based upon his statements and record, it is logical to conclude he will do so with all issues putting the very most liberal supreme court justices in place. I only hope Bush gets to replace Kennedy to maintain some balance of power.

Obama is very lucky McCain ran such a terrible campaign. He should have pushed my biggest fear: a Democratic House, a Democratic Senate with more than 60 members, a Democratic president and a liberal Supreme Court. Look like France down the road? I hope that is the worst...might be more like Venezuela or Cuba.
