I really saw Colin Powell as having a true change of heart about what he thought during the latter part of the 1st Bush Administration. I think that he realized that he'd been led astray and lied to about the whole WMDs thingy. He was the sole voice of reason during the last year of that 1st 4 years and he was shunned by the Bushies for that. Of all those in the Bush Administration, he is the only one that I have respect for. I also look at his reasons he stated for choosing to support Barack Obama now; he's spent the last few months watching both Obama & McCain & sees that Obama's perspective and leadership is STEADY and confident. So I look him as having undergone some change from the early 2000s and I respect him for being open to change, opening up about that & being willing to step up for what's right NOW. Just my humble opinion.
