"Whatever. I have no idea why we go round and round about this. No one is going to change your mind or your attitude. And short a lobotomy, you sure as hell aren't going to change mine."
Of course that is taking the high road! I note you hit the nail on the head. Why is it my mind must be changed? Don't I have the very same right to vote as you do and to choose who I want to vote for? Isn't that where most of hthe problems comes from? Lack of respect for different choices or views? It is the way the issues are addressed that I spoke to and pointed out that what Lola did is no different than what many do on the other side, and not about the the underlying differences in choice. It is fine to differ and discuss thedifferences. But it is the way the differences are handled that becomes problematic.
I stand by my previous assertion that WE could ALL do better. Main point. I think we could better discuss and reason than what some of US have done thus far. I include now, and included prior, myself in that. You don't agree that we could do better? And perhaps Kumbaya would not be a bad thing for US ALL to sing together! Right?
I did not change the subject, but simply replied to your reply to Lola. I note your blanket comment about conservatives (that would be a prejudgment). Same for all the other blanket statements about Dems and Repubs that many of US have made. No different than any other kid ofbias, be it racism, prejudice or bias. As far as I am concerned, they are all the same evil.
And by the way, I did not say a thing about the story...but if indeed true, I am saying now that it is a nice story. As nice as McCain's adoption story, don't ya think?
Irie vermontirie! Peace.
