I really wonder what the deal is with voting, why can't we manage to vote and count all the votes in one day in this country? We can send a man to the moon and back safely but can't put together an efficient and accurate means of voting that can be accomplished in one day???
As nice as it may seem to vote early it really makes me concerned that it opens the process up to fraud in a big way. Think about it, tampering with the election results has been a concern forever when the would be tamperers only had one day access to the votes, now the votes are sitting around waiting to be tampered with for almost a month. Doesn't his concern anyone else but me?
I for one remember watching Florida in 2000, in the middle of the night the election totals were being held up because there was a trooper car holding the ballot boxes from one precinct missing for about an hour, suddenly the car reappeared and the story disappeared and was replaced with chad talk. There were also stories about missing blank ballots and voting machines missing, which when you add up 1,2,3 you have ballots, voting machine, ballot boxes containing official votes all missing, this is a the makings of election fraud big time. Now they have a month to do this sort of thing at their leisure? I don't trust it.....
Personally, I went to the website for my state and verified my voter status, which is good to go, and I will cast my vote on Nov 4th on election day when they will have less time to tamper with it. Maybe it's just me, but I don't trust the elections one iota and want them to be holding my ballot for is little time as possible before it is counted...
