Darius Goes West is now available on DVD. It is the true story of an Athens teenager, Darius Weems, who has Duchennes Muscular Dystrophy, a fatal genetic disease. At age 15 he and friends decide to rent an RV and travel to LA to be on MTV's Pimp My Ride, with his "ride" being his wheelchair. Prior to this journey, he had never left his home county. The DVD follows them on this grand adventure cross country.

This documentary has received many critical awards, which is amazing since it was pretty much done by amateurs. It'll make you laugh and cry and make you appreciate life a whole lot more.

Darius is now trying to sell 1 million copies in one year, $17 of DVD goes to Duchennes Muscular Dystrophy.

Darius has just graduated from High School. His brother had the same disease and died just before graduating from high school. Most people with this disease die in their late teens-early twenties.
