YES. I have both worked the polls and had a Watcher's certificate and been trained. Not this election because I will not be here and had to use the "Emergecny Voting" process to make sure my vote counts. Everyone should note that the reason I said to call YOUR local elections board is because there are not uniform rules! They can vary by state law, local law or because some people are not properly trained in what to do. In extreme cases, ask to talk to the Elections Judge about the problem. There should be one at EVERY coting precinct or available. And if you still are not happy, you can file a complaint rightr there to the Election Judge and I beleive the matter should go before a Court of competent jurisdicition but not entirely sure as there has never been a single problem while I was at the precincts.
Despite the differences I have had here, I gave some helpful advice because I believe every honestly registered voter should get to vote. And what did I say?
1. Check your registrations NOW so you won't have problems then.
2. If something comes up that for some reason you cannot vote on election day, call your local elections board to see about emergency voting like we have in Philly. (Note: Absentees get tossed by Dems in Philly and so no one should use those here.)
3. If you get to the polling place and they TRY to turn you away because you did not make it on the rolls or some other reason like first timers who have no ID, then ask for a provisional ballot so one CAN at least vote and then try to clear up the matter afterwards.
For this, I get accused of wrongdoing? Accused of trying to HURT people? To fool people. It's ludicrous. Why did I even bother to try and be helpful considering everything?
Some of you guys are way too paranoid for sure. And way too partisan. I thought we were ALL Americans. But apparently not the case. Sometimes I wonder what goes on in your heads when you put them down on the pillow.
