There was enough blame to go around on this one but If you look 90 miles to the east of New Orleans and compare the situation in coastal Mississippi you will see a stark contrast...Mississippi EVACUATED it's own people, rescued it's own people, sent relief supplies and rebuilt on it's own with a fraction of what the government sent to New Orleans. Also Missisippi already had the Nationl Guard mobilized two days ahead of the storm's arrival..We should have seen the Lousiana National Guard marching into the Super Dome 2 days earlier instead of waiting for the Army..To this day Missisippi is still the forgotten area and the eye wall hit in Missisippi and not New orleans....I did not see the Lousiana Governor or the New Orleans Mayor showing any leaderhip at all and just sat back and waited on someone to do their jobs...
