Jamaica itself is a lush bright green jewel when you see it from the plane. The people are incredibly warm and welcoming. The food is SO good. All the ingredients are very fresh and wholesome. We got a loaf of sourdoh when we were there and a slice toasted with herbal tea at 8 or 9 am filled us up until 3 or 4pm when we finally got hungry again. Unless were were at MiYard for some sal fish and ackee.
The people we met were very eager to talk to us and though we didn't catch every word, we were struck by the sincerity and intensity of what was shared. Jamaica is a heartfelt place to experience.
