An all night show like Rebel Salute has enough top shelf talent to keep me going with amazing vibes all night. I prepare in advance and take several Starbucks Expresso shots with me. I purposely go early to see new acts (many of which I have never seen before so I am not bored with them already). AND, that all night show starts with Nyahbinghi at 9 p.m. so you get a good show straight through with solid music and short band changes. They are just long enough to get to the bathroom and back, if needed. For a show like Rebel Salute where the talent is off the hook, that kind of arrangement works, however, for a show in Negril with one featured artist, you just can't pull it off.

The other thing I miss in Negril is that the shows used to be as many or more Jamaicans as there are tourists. I loved that as much as the performance. Now, the crowd is 85% tourist and 15% Jamaican. I don't get the Jamaican feel like I do when I go to a stageshow in the country or even Llandilo.
