The Westmoreland Police believe they have made a major dent in the multi-billion lottery scam being operated in Western Jamaica.
A nearly two-hour operation Thursday led to the seizures of several documents, assets, as well as the arrest of three men.
The late morning operation at a Negril West End resort involved the Westmoreland Special Operations Team and a team from the Organised Crime Investigative Division.
A section of the property was raided and the police reportedly found documents relating to the illegal lottery scam.
The say they also found travel documents they believe belong to persons who working for the masterminds behind the scam.
Other documents had the names of thousands of overseas residents whom the police believe have been fleeced.
The documents along with computers, printers, cellular phones, two motor bicycles and other items were seized.
The three men who were at the premises and are said to be from volatile communities in St. James, were transported to Kingston while investigations continue.
