KINGSTON, Jamaica — The ‘One Love One Step’ walk, a three-week walk across Jamaica from the Morant Point Lighthouse in St Thomas to the Negril Lighthouse in Westmoreland, is expected to begin tomorrow at 6:00 am in St Thomas.

The walk, among other things, according to organisers, will “celebrate the neglected and under-invested centre of Jamaica – a place where the talent, ecology and wisdom of Jamaica lays”.

Its staging is expected to “identify sustainable good practice, build a network and raise awareness of climate change, work with local people to identify their own great ideas, share knowledge about ecology, business and funding and connecting people to each other,” a release from organisers said.

“We will be identifying sustainable ecological renewable business opportunities and gathering folklore, traditional remedies and stories,” the release continued.

The walk will be filmed in two parts in an effort to inform different local and international markets, of Jamaica, including the rarely travelled inner communities.
