Good morning from Miyard. Quiet now but for the clean up on Tigress Lane after the big street party last night (which attracted much police attention, but shut down promptly at midnight).

Looks like a beautiful day ahead. Seas are calm, maybe another good day for snorkelling. Yesterday was perfect for snorkeling, calm waters, bright sun and great visibility. There’s a big coral head to the left of Miyard beach which attracts lots of fish: Eels, parrot fish, snapper, sergeant major, jackfish, damselfish, yellowtail goatfish, bluehead, slippery dick (not referring to the guy you met last night  ) and others that I can’t identify or remember. The area to the right towards Canoe was pretty uninteresting overall. There are signs of life on the reef, but it is still a struggle with lots of algae covering some of the coral.
Maybe today is also a good day for Miyard’s jerk chicken. Always delicious, with the new barrel set up in the kitchen it is easy to be monitored for slow cooking.
