Most of one comment in the story is:

I'm sitting in Detroit, Michigan reading this article. Last night I was in Negril when the incident happened. Police commanded the biker to stop, which he didn't. They did chase him with the police truck, knock him off the bike, run him over, killing him, right in the busy section

My comment is: Sometimes readers postings to/in news stories are worth the reading.

Stop reading here if you don't like my dribble;

A maid I know lost her brother long ago when shot by the police as he was driving his motorcycle away from them. He was one of those bike-taxis.

Sometimes it is good to avoid even uniformed people with guns. Sometimes it is vital to obey police instructions.

Yesterday had the story of a cop arresting a girl who was texting in math class in South Carolina. The cop was fired for the way he did it. The NAACP put their slant on it.

I think the charge was "disturbing school." In my era, we would have been sent to the principal's office but today, well, she refused to get up. Times have changed in oh so many ways.
