Rastafari Rootzfest Press Launch

The first Rastafari Rootzfest High Times Jamaica Cannabis Cup featuring High Times World Cannabis Cup will be held in Negril from the twelve (12) to the fifteen (15) of November. The venue for the event will be Long Bay Beach Park including the football field adjacent to the Park.

The Fest will have many features. The two main features are the local cup and the international cup.

Rastafari livity and way of life will be on display. Also their struggles and fight to get the right to use ganja as a sacrament and socially.

The police will be present big time. The police chief said they will be working together to work out whatever is to be worked out. So they can have a smooth event as much as that is possible. Issues such as parking, vending, sanitary convenience, were among others mentioned.

Conspicuously absent was any recognition or mention of Westmoreland hemp and Ganja Famers Association, WHGFA by any of the speakers or on any of the literature that was available. The natural question would be why?

Iyaha V paid a nice tribute to Kubba Pringle who is the visionary that cause this event to be happening in Negril, and other speakers mention his work as a community man and how he would be proud of what was happening on the day.

The brand Rastafari Rootzfest is owned by Rastafari in Inity Limited. Who are the owners of that limited liability company. The question is appropriate because the concept note of the events states (the company is establish with a mandate to use non-exploitative business strategies to build a Rastafari friendly and grassroots oriented enterprise that is transparent, accountable and respected in the global cannabis industry).

The rasta in the picture was the chairman for the evening.
