Thanks for the ideas. I think we were at Mockingbird if it was on the main coastal road near Frenchman's Cove. If not Mockingbird, it was a really cool old plantation type hotel with amazing grounds and a spectacular view of the river from way above. The view was in the back of the property. They had closed that day due to Obama's inuaguration but they gave us full reign to walk the property.
