After complaining about the political tone of the board lately I am sure I am opening myself up to some s&*%t for posting this but...
Just because "Gramps" has been around a long time and been a lot of places and can even remember lots of names however difficult they are to pronounce doesn't mean he has the temperament to lead in times of crisis or otherwise. The other side to his experience argument is that all of this mess was created on his watch, and does anyone remember Arizona's leading role in the S&L scandal.
I thought both came off pretty well, even though Senator McCain got grouchy a few times, but what bothered me most was when asked what he would do or what his position was he answered not with his view but rather by attacking "The Professor's" position. I know he disagrees with Senator Obama on many things but how about answering the question asked. We don't need him to tell us what he thinks Obama thinks, we want to hear what HE thinks.
John McCain is a true American hero for his sacrifice and service and deserves our thanks and respect, but that doesn't automatically make him the right choice to lead our nation in this new century.
Whoever ultimately wins, let us pray for peace and the return to prosperity for us all.
Now bring it on...
Bless...
