I just read your take on the debate that you made this afternoon where you stated that the most overt lie was made by Obama when he said he would sit down and talk with world leaders without pre-conditions. Actually the most over lie through out the debate was when Mccain said that he supported the Veterans and went into the emotional speech at the end of the debate on how he was going to take care of them. To give you some history on how he has taken care of veterans let me quote from the oldest continuously published weekly magazine in the United States--The Nation: June 2, 2008---"McCain th presumptive GOP candidate who talks the best talk on veterans issues has demonstrated a tendency to work against veterans interest, voting time after time against funding and in favor of privatizing services--in other words of rolling back the VA improvements by supporting some of the same policies that wrecked Walter Reed.During a March 2005 Senate budget debate McCain voted to kill an amendmant that would have "increased veterans medical care by 2.8 million in 2006." Just a year later McCain voted against an amendment that would have "increased Veterans Medical Service funding by 1.5 billion in 2007 to be paid by closing corporate loopholes and delaying tax cuts for the weathly." "John McCain voted against Veterans in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007" says Jeffery Cox who spent 22 years as a VA nurse. He is now on the Board of the American Federation of Gov employees. Ask the Veterans of Iraq about how McCain has helped them--Nada.
