housing trust fund

So what was really in the "plan" according to Ray's draft is that some money would go to the Housing Trust Fund. The HTF is a means by which the government gives grants to allow community organizations to build affordable housing. ACORN is just one of many groups who might have gotten some of this money.

The HTF is important to many Americans who find themselves unable to find affordable housing. It seems to me that while the government is giving away more than 1/2 billion dollars, it might give a little to fund affordable housing.

But there is no real use debating the finer points, as folks hear what they want.

I'll continue to proudly support my local Housing/Land Trust which has enabled many families to become homeowners.
