DelRoy, I work in public education in the U.S. I don't know a whole lot about the educational system in Jamaica, but one thing I think that I've heard is that there's some sort of examination that is given at about 12 that determines which sort of schooling the student is eligible for (??) from that point on. Is that correct? If some students "make the cut" & others don't, what does the educational environment look like for the "winners" vs. the ones who don't "score" on that level??
