Mohawk Carpets, which employs 2,700 people announced last week it is closing and laying off all 2,700 at the end of the year. There's not many jobs in North Georgia for which a lifetime carpet mill worker is qualified. These folks are going to have a rough time, I'm afraid.
This is the stuff we should be discussing and asking how each Presidential candidate plans to address such job losses, instead of mud slinging and name calling.
