Quoting IG: "They" say that, because the weather just hasn't been any warmer, and just because they "think" that, it is so."

N one doubtsthe weather has been warmer recently. History has proven sea levels have varied greatly and have been higher than today by thirty feet (about 10 meters) and lower.

Indeed we have previously expereinced weather changes in recorded history and beyond. The medieival warm period, circa 800- 1300 AD expanded population greatly with great food yields but was followed by what is know as the Little Ice Age, circa 1400 to 1900 AD that expanded glaciers and ice sheets. Notice each of those are around 500 year periods.

The argument is that the weather is changing and therfore it must be due to man. We cannot help that kind of egocentric arrogance. Very interesting is has occurred when there was no man. Recent history shows changes in temperature, indeed the same changes that has been proven to occur over millions of years. Temperature has never been constant, but ebbs and flows form one extreme (ice ages) to the other (warm periods) repeatedly over the millions of years that we know of.

For more on the natural fluctuations, research milanovich cycles. And study the chicken egg argument....which came first?....higher temperatures or increased CO2 levels? This evidence on this last issue and historical records convince me at global warning is NOT manmade. Associated with this is melting tundra, primarily peat, already 10 percent of alaska, which releases high levels of previously trapped and stored CO2 and water (3/4's of the earth) which holds less CO2 as temperature rises. AS temperature increases, so does CO2 as the earth cannot store it. Evidence suggests increased CO2 levels are actually a byproduct of higher temperatures. And some scientists say that once CO2 hits high enough thresholds, it actually blocks out the sun and cools the earth.

The final conclusion is there is no concensus among the scientific community and the issue has been politicized which makes analsyes suspect. I prefer the scientific data.
