In today's Gleaner there is a column expressing the view that the Canadian election was more important to the Caribbean and that Democrats traditionally haven't paid that much attention to the Caribbean, so the US election doesn't matter so much.

He is also of the opinion that Canada's Conservative party has been more beneficial to JA.
