This does not negate the fact that he argued for the war resolution, defended teh intelligence and as a result of actions on his part, Congress gave Bush the power and the entier matter had 70% support of the American people at it's inception. Hind sight is always 20/20.
At the end of the day, he has his responsibility in the chain of events whcih is inescapable and does indeed put him in a precarious situation. And, apparetly, he was wrong, as was Obama whether he can admit it or not, in that there is now success in Iraq and thanks to the efforts of John McCain and Obama is a threat to tehe continuation of that success.
