Daycare is really expensive! And it puts your kids in someone else' hands. Is daycare your only option? I'm not being facetious either, and I don't know your family situation. My husband had gone back to school for an Associates degree to help him find a decent job that fit our family, and then even went back for his Bachelors, and still couldn't find the right job! All we got out of that was debt....
What is a common theme here? Jobs, or lack of them. So let's look a little deeper.
What produces income? Business.
Who always gets paid if there is sufficient income in the business? The business owner.
Who provides approximately 50% of the jobs in this country? Small business owners.
One option everyone has, is to stop looking for a job and start looking for a business to operate. Some businesses can begin with low cost, little or no risk, and the tools to help you succeed. Having your own business provides more control over your time and income. A business can accommodate your family and social obligations better than most jobs can.
To have a successful business you don't need a special education, a lot of money, to have been born a particular person, of a special class, or with a phenomenal talent or celebrity and you certainly don't need to be a politician.
Sadly, many people believe they need to have or be one or more of those things to be successful, and its a BIG FAT LIE. Most won't even look at a business opportunity because they have already set their mind they cannot do it.
The truth is, with the right opportunity and a passion to succeed and to serve others, anyone could do it. However, most would rather have jobs, as frustrating or unsatisfying as they may be, and then lament not being able to get one.
I encourage people to think creatively. Be one of the few. You could be taking care of your family, and helping others too.
True story, just happened as I'm writing this. My husband called asking if we can lend $50 to a couple we know, they have a bill that needs to get paid and they will be able to pay us back at the end of November. This gentleman had to quit his schoolbus driving job and have back surgery for an injury that, as it turned out, occurred while he was in the Military. The recovery from surgery has been several months and he won't be able to go back to his old job. Not only did my husband help him get the medical care and disability pay he is eligible for from the Military, he is helping them get started in their own business. The man is 50-some years old and has realized that he is worth more than the job he had.
