I think perhaps because he is half black, his father was from Africa, he looks black, and has a black wife and two black little girls, and he is the first man to be elected president that has these attributes, that's why you are hearing it. Bob Marley was half white, or is that half black, or does it matter??????
I think you're missing the point, its a GOOD THING that he is black, or half black, and president, people right around the world are proud of this growth in America. Certainly in Jamaica people are very excited to see a man of their complection rise to the most powerful office on the planet. I saw more Obama shirts and stickers last month in Jamaica than at home, every DJ talks about Obama, people are very excited to see him rise to power. When Kennedy ran they questioned him being catholic, we've come a LONG way, and that's why you're hearing about it...
