Re: Wonderful photos Sis! Brings back...

Hi Steph,

An elder Ras named Blakka and his wife run one little cookshop. He made most of our lunch and dinner food while we were there altho we love a restaurant in town (something about Grapes, will have to check the name) for several nights as well.

Ras Marcus and his brother ran another shop. Marcus is in Switzerland with his wife and baby so his Rasta brother runs it now.

Damage (known by several other names) also makes fried fish but does not have alot other than that to offer.

We did not eat at Lil Ochi this time.

The beach front looks pretty much like always altho the river connection changes configuration with each storm. The little bridge is there but not in very good shape. The swimming area at the end where the sea begins to almost touch the sea if so wonderful. Clean, fresh, mystical. The scenery is amazing and occasionally you can get some kind of flotation boat to go upstream which must be the equivalent of a rain forest in Brazil. Just amazing.

hope I answered all the questions. i will have to go back and look ;-)

I would stay at Sea Riv for a few days any time I am in Ja. I have stayed there so much, they call it the Sista Irie room. It's the king size one on the corner.

Sharon is no longer there. She has a little shop in town (AP). Oreen runs the place currently.
