Thanks for the warning, Georgiajan! Actually, in this case, I will be happy if the vine covers the whole tree as long as it doesn't kill it. My friend told me hers die off in the winter but spring back for summer. There is a big mansion next to my house being renovated. The workmen are always in the yard next door and I have a garden window in my shower. Right now I am glad for the vine and the tree blossoming out- I don't have to worry about peeping carpenters!
