John Mc Lame called Letterman this afternoon to tell him he had to cancel his appearance on his show as he had to "rush back to Washington" to fix the bailout.

During the taping, Letterman found out Mc Lame was in an adjoinging studio taping an interview with Katie Couric for CBS News instead of "rushing back to Washington". Boy! He got pissed and railed on Mc Lame! Letterman had Kieth Oberman on to replace Mc Lame and the two of them really put the fire to Mc Lame and the GOP's ass over this one. Letterman suggested that Sarah Palin should "take over" campaigning for Mc Lame if she is so "qualified to be Vice President".
