I am saying since republicans had COMPLETE CONTROL over the government apparatus for 6 of the last 7 years I think the lions share of the responsibility for recent failures falls on them. It is unprecedented to have such complete control over government, and this is an unprecedented failure of America on all fronts right about now. Somehow, however, republicans want to ice over the cake with a bipartisan frosting all of the sudden when it was their way or the highway for the majority of this century so far. While republicans had control they SHUT OUT democrats from the legislation process completely, it was NOT BI PARTISAN the way congress had been run under recent republican rule, and therefore it's hard to put the blame on democrats unless you completely draw a blank on the last 7 years....
