I think what Lola is saying is those with money DO contribute the most to this country by spreading wealth through investing in entities and businesses that create jobs and build these businesses which in turn gives the rest of us that don't have much money to invest, and need other's investment, in order to work. That is why every small town tries to bring in a big business. Look what happens when the big business in town leaves?
And if you take away their ability to invest, you just take away more jobs an they may just go overseas to stimulate someone else's job market. Lola speaks of spreading wealth, you speak of redistributing it. There is the major difference. And if you place more restrictions on businesses and push up the labor costs with required health insurance and the like, and taxes, they will simply pack up and go to where labor is cheaper which is the primary reason Americans are now losing jobs. That is what destroyed Detroit....the cost of benefits and now look at that city.
