You got that right, there were a few pundits that mentioned how extreme rhetoric like what McCain has Palin using fires up the extremes on the right and the left. One guy even went on to mention the Kennedy's though they didn't explicitly say that this extreme campaign rhetoric by Palin may put Obama's life at risk, but they eluded it. It is plain to see, when she spouts these lines and people shout out "terrorist" and "treason" and though there is no recording I heard reported that someone shouted "kill him". I saw McCain's face when the guy shouted "terrorist", he looked stunned, but he pressed onward without a mention. It is clear McCain doesn't think his opponent is a "terrorist" but he is apparently willing to let his campaign, VP and surrogates use this sort of rhetoric even though he knows the results. I hate to say this, but perhaps McCain knows at this point the only way for him to win would be if something terrible happened to Obama. It is completely irresponsible for the McCain campaign to use these sort of tactics that are known to stir crazed extremists into actions like we witnessed in the 60's with the loss of the Kennedy's and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.. McCain/Palin should be ashamed of themselves...
