Wrong again Roger...Control would require not just a voting majority. The minority of the Senate can cotnrol what is put upon the floor as it requires a sixty percent voting bloc to do so. Wihtout at least 60 seats in one party or the other, the minority can control what gets to the floor by impeding fillibuster. And, in 2001 to 2003, the Repubs had a majority for only four months and that was only because there was a 50/50 split and Cheney was the tiebreaker... thne four motnhs into the session, that guy from Vermont, Jeffers or something like that defected from the Repubs and alligned himself as an independent with the Democrats giving them a majority for the remainder of the session. The rest of the time until this last congressional seting, there was nearly a fifty fifty split. You do not undertand the meaning of control and bastardize it. I would suggest watching c-span and brushing up on your civics as it is nto as you put forth.
