My rebuttal is "it matters not". He indicated he was "thinking of" buying a business and I have seen employees in not so good shape buy out owners on more than one occassion. I don't see any alleged tax lien as an issue at all. What DOES matter is the underlying issue:
Do we as acountry want t ostart dow nteh road where we engage in wealth transfer as Obama has framed it? Other presidents hae not framed it as in the socialist way that Obama has and his ideas on central government are in that direction. Joe the Plumber actually got a real issue in the limelight to be discussed. Teh candidates made that issue front and center. That means this is something that is important to the American people and the fact that both candidates repestedly brought it up is great and that at least for a moment we had them talking about issues and not this bullshit.
Unfortunately, once again, our media misses the boat as so do you. The issue is whether this country wants to engage in socialist wealth transfers. Whether it is good to be talking about hitting those who can create jobs with higher taxes in a bad economy. We should focus on the issue for a change but the evil media has to address the unimportatn things once again. Very sad indeed.
Finally, I find it amazing that they go digging on Joe, but we still are not even clear on the school documents that state Obama had another name Barry Soetoro. That he was listed as being an Islamist and an Indonesion citizen. Why we cannot get his birth certificate knowing that when one is adopted, the original birht documents are sealed adn a new birth certificate is issued. There is information to suggest that he was adopted too by his grandparents.
I don;t want to know about Palin's daughter's boyfriend, ot hte librarain or whether Joe paid his taxes. I want to know about the issues. I want to know wheteher Obama is actually elligible to be president. Issues please!
Finally, Keating got buted, wasa convicted and the conviction I understand was later overturned. McCain was never convicted of anything. If this guy is a relative of Keating I think Obama deserved what he got. And I think it is a great laugh.
As I said intially...Joe the Plumber won the debate. He dominated the discussion last night and is the one getting all the press today.
