I did not imply...i made a logical suggestion about your attitude from your own words. Note my question as to this: "Do I have this right? I surely hope I am wrong. That would be indefensible and is quite frankly frightening." That reduces any indication of an assumption to a suggestion which clarification of was sought through questioning.
If I am wrong, then I am reassured. I stand by all of my comments and my questions....BUT....
If anone implicated anyone, you implicated YOURSELF. I will note that YOU made it clear that YOU KNOW wearing the shirt is wrong. Then YOU wrapped it in that YOU felt violating the rules is okay because of YOUR freedom of expression. YOU also decided to protect YOURSELF from being sent home bringing a second shirt in case
YOU got called out on your KNOWINGLY and premeditated breaking of the rules. The fact that YOU indicate
YOU will do such clearly indicates that you do not care about the rules in any event. I am not responsible for YOUR decisions to do the obviously wrong thing. That is on YOU and clearly this is all about YOU.
Your attempt to turn your bad act around on me is a sad attempt at obfuscation and your attack upon me, not the other way around.
Sorry you feel you are being attacked Karen but I am jsut speaking as to YOUR CHOICES and not you as a whole person. I have always had a fond place in my heart where you are concerned and that has not yet changed whether that means anything to you or not. I dod not judge you only your intentional bad act.
I still disagree that the act is apporiate and that such a thing and an attitude frightens me particularly in that the students do not have the same "freedom of expression" due to the uneven power relationship. That is my opinion on this topic.
