Lola,
It's a few years old, but I HIGHLY recommend you get your hands on this text:
http://www.amazon.com/You-Think-Drive-Cadillac-Perspectives/dp/0205283128
It's called "So You Think I Drive s Cadillac", and it's a must read for anyone who has such an um, interesting perception of what welfare is/does in REALITY, not propaganda.
Incidentally, I find it funny when conservatives bray about Democrats fighting back...are we supposed to be all sunshine and rainbows and stick to the program/perceived persona that works best for you? Damnit, we're angry. And we have every reason to be...and I for one applaud this party finally having the cahones to stand up and say THIS is a lie. ANOTHER LIE. This sort of behavior is inappropriate and disrespectful.
And I cannot for the life of me get where your rant came from. The letter is a funny way of addressing the absurdity of this whole situation. Holding up this guy and using him as a tool and just like with the VP, not doing the fricken homework to make sure you're not LYING to the American public when you represent the person as one thing when they are CLEARLY another. WTF does that have to do with welfare?
Joe the Plumber is neither a Joe nor a Plumber.
