Yes, quite selective - and I believe that hotels or venues might be calling the police on their competition. I also believe police might not be getting the incentives they want in order to keep the events running. beach road and one love drive should perhaps be designated as entertainment zones and folks who are looking for quiet could make an informed decision as to where to stay/live. For me, Music is Life and I easily fall asleep to the bass booming. I can do without the DJs screaming "Lighta" though- just play the tune, man!

I hope this can be worked out because most tourists want good music! locals too!
