" they will ask you to apply for citizenship."
I appreciate reading that Delroy. Thanks. It makes some sense, and I had read the official pages previously on how to do that.
Historically, people have said that after 6 months they would fly to Miami for a day and then come back.
And the web page with details for visitors says that the maximum stay is 6 months. But when one person (nay, two) wrote that the limit is 6 months in a calendar year, I thought they were in error. That's when I got an email saying I was wrong. (I'm being polite here.)
I haven't found a page mentioning 6 months out of 12. But technically, IMO, one trip from June to November makes a person eligable to return in January while a January to June trip means you are off the island for the next 6 months.
This could put a wrinkle in plans.
I seem to recall there are waivers (with their expense) but I'm not addressing them here. I do want to avoid being put on the next plane home.
In one country (good youtube videos), if they cancel your visa, you get banned for three years. Visas do not apply here, but one does not want to violate rules which aren't easily found, if at all on the Internet.
