Just seems like common sense to me, Thank God we paid off our credit cards, (didn't want that hanging over our retirement) although we had to drive a car with over 100,000 miles on it for quite a few years to do so, and live in a 120-year-old falling-down farmhouse to save for retirement as well. We like to spend money, so it was not easy but we were determined to do it together.
Credit has been too easy to obtain; I believe it will be better to get back to the basics and not have the need to have all of that "stuff" that really just clutters up your life. It's your family and spirit that count, not all of the "stuff" that you own.
