I have seen many an Italian in row homes in South Philly garden over the years and learned much from them. Many neigborhoods here in Philly have community gardens. Pots can be used to garden as well. It may not supply all of your food, but does assist.
A beamer....lol. Roger...I drive a 1996 dodge ram with about 90,000 miles....got over than $200 grand in student loans, are over $1100 a month....about $400 thousand in debt total...maybe a negative $300 net worth. I have not yet completed my third year in my law practice and everyone in this business knows it takes five years to get to where one needs to be. I worked out of my home the first year. In addition to my mortgage, real estate taxes and insurance and utility bills and car insurance, I have rent at my office, malpractice insurance, utlilities, taxes, accouting fees and a few other expenses. I struggle every month to pay my bills but I pay them. This is an investment for me at this time...I look towards the future. I have no health insurance, I just do not whine about it nor expect anyone to give it to me. I eat well but smoking is one risk I should not take but do. When I get sick, I typically nurse myself back to health without a doctor and without medication.
Work is hard to come by. My rates are $200 bucks an hour but competition is stiff in this area with so many damn law schools. You and some others are probably better off than me at this time. I get good deals because I work to find them and save money. Aside from work clothes, I had not brought myself any clothes in nearly two years. I just spent about $270 for summer clothes and got a pair of water shoes, pair of sandles, pair of flip flops, eight or nine short sleeved shirts, four pair of shorts and some socks and a bathing suit all for an upcoming trip and next year...everything off of clerance racks...pretty good yeah? I was quite proud of myself. And there will be no winter clothes this season until the spring when I can hit the clearance racks unless i find some good after Christmas sales. And I will use the four year old winter coat I have this year. Average guy here Roger with maybe a little more education than the next guy.
Thanks for telling me about your view of my little personal bubble, but not only are your assumptions and assessments about my life incorrect, they are rude, overly assuming and your attitude towards me is quite condascending. I have repeatedly asked you to stick to the issues and the opinions and not get personal. As I stated we usually only end up embarrassing ourselves when we do that thing...so again...please let's jsut stop it.
