Re: Thank you!...a quick addon & map

Have not seen such a high count of page-views (first post in thread) in a long, long time. Probably re-reads instead of first views, but that's OK.

Delroy, I sent you a PM. Here are highlights:

Camera's are the way to go, IMO. But not with the expense of police monitoring them, or even the expense of having Internet access. When something bad happens, the recording machine can be checked. (could always add phone connection at a later time.)
Thanks for those thoughts regarding recurring expense and the fact that sitting and watching these cameras can be boring I will seek to engage my colleages

At first I thought F the beach road. Concern and involvement by certain people on the beach road could be favorable for an overall, or government involved (that's a joke in some cases) plan to combat the crap which is in the news.
We are taking a holistic and friendly approach that way we will most likely get rid of potential opposition and possible bureaucratic obstacles

I did not think about continual monitoring of all vechicle licenses. Would it do any good? Would word getting out about the cameras do any good? If someone is going to wack someone else, it would just mean stealing a license or covering up the plate. A covered or no plate will cause red flags and alarm but the camera system. Where vehicles are not road worthy the system may ring the alarm bell

That's why I think a low key approach would work now. Half a dozen business owners setting up two-direction cameras, about $300 US each might work. Unattended until needed. I am told the cameras uses in public spaces cost alot more. They are able to get license plates while the vehicles are moving at a fast speed also able to get a good image in low light The numbers in the proposal kinda speak to our thoughts as it relates to a low key and maybe starting with a small amount of businesses however cost to each business will move up significantly

To make public the plan, you might at well change the sign for OneLoveDrive on the curve to "please leave guns here."

There are several ways in/out of O.L.D., as shown on the google map, left side is L.T.L. (unmarked)

Any plan (and thanks Delroy for posting what you did) must be thought out. Can't be half-donkeyed or fall by the way side like a new ambulance turned into scrap metal or police motorcycles which were clearly being used because a car was not available. (When a sargent is the passenger, and 3 bikes were together, they really should have been using a car IMO)

This is a Negril Cluster initiative so I will bring suggestions and idea you to our meeting when we meet.
