I completely disagree....i strongly beleive they have been saving her to allow all the spin to be debunbked, most of which has been done and to get here studied up, then let her out where she can be taken in at a serious setting - a debate where she would not have to defend the silly accusations which would have left her looking too defensive. Better just to hide her. I have watched her previous debates from Alaska and she perforrms well particularly in attack, her job.

I would look for the following attacks: Biden's assocaitions with MBNA and lobbyists. Possible referencees to Biden's son and brother's indictment with their lobbying efforts. Biden's connections and 30 year friendship with Joseph Carrie, a high level Dem in elections financing and who Biden called an "honorable man" and "close friend" just before announced indictments and was convicted by guilty plea along with Rezko. Some call them the phantom four: Obama-Biden-Rezko-Carrie. Some reports state Obama had a 17 year friednship and deep invovlement with Rezko adn that Biden has Rezko ties. I would look for Palin to use the convictions as evidence of corrpution and guilt by association and errors in judgment. Also, to footstool Palin's marketing as a "maverick" of change and stated intention of Palin clearning up Washington, lobbyists and corruption - the reformer and agent of change - that she is the "true agent of change" while Obama and Biden are not but "more of the same" - politicians of old. I would not be surprised to see the McCain camp turn around the "more of the same" thing soon.

Avoiding the debate would mean a certain loss and is simply never going to happen. Dropping out and a replacement would be more likely although I find that extremely doubtful as well. Since everyone is expecting a complete disaster, a simple tie will be viewed as a win for the ticket due to the experience gap and have a poll improving effect on doubters and independents. Finally, remember, right now everyone's mind is on two things - economy and ethics - and the latter is a place where huge gains can be found. The way things have gone thus far, I can't help to think the McCain camp has been holding back and looing for late momentum as in the primaries. I will be watching - could be another game changer, or a complete disaster - either way I want to see it.
