Lol - Roger....off the cuff would be pretty funny...with both of these VP candidates...ya know - Biden the "gaffe master". Palin is certainly the pivot for McCain, unusual for any presidential race.
I see what you are saying abut the Keating five being raised by Obama. Although what Palin does, Palin does, in the end, I don't see much damage resulting from it. John Glenn and McCain were cleared of having acted improperly but criticized for simply having exercised poor judgment.
If Obama were to raise this however, I think Obama may open himslef to more risk - Obama's comment about his real estate deal with REzko being a "bone headed move". Worse yet, is Obama's admission he did this knowing Rezko was under investigation. Rezko also had been estopped by the Governor from obtaining any more state contracts and I believe some contracts already earmarked were pulled.
While Obama could raise such with the Keating Five, McCain simply could stress he was cleared, and has a long and distinguished history fighing corruption since and enable him to reinforce any issues that Palin raised. I think Obama would end up looking defensive in even raising such whcih could be easily dismissed and Obama stands more to lose. Any chance McCain gets to stress errors in Obama's judgment will score more than the other way around I think. Obama's short record is a plus and a minus as is McCain long record.
One thing for sure - McCain needs to look Obama in the eye and point his finger at the guy when attacking and show a bit more emotion in doing so.
