"Also, since the earth's forests are disappearing through clear cutting, etc., there are far fewer trees on the planet to convert the CO2 to oxygen"
Yes, that's a huge cause of the problems as well.
My problem with California is that the politicians spend too much time on all of the environmental regulations which drive business away from California and not enough time on gang issues, immigration issues, etc. Google Jamiel Shaw and it will give you one example. I'm downright angry that our city denys that they are a sanctuary city. And every single time I get a piece of marketing material in my mailbox in Spanish, and only Spanish - which happens quite regularly - it makes my blood boil. And I work at a hospital and know how much money we lose every year from having to provide free medical care to illegals. I think our politicians time would be better spent trying to figure out how to fix current major problems. If they refuse to try and do anything about illegals being in our city and country than fine. But come up with ways to try and integrate them into our society.
As for China. I think it is unproductive for environmental lobbiests to continue to harp on Global warming and go on and on and on about what we need to do about it here in America if they aren't going to try and do something about a major culprit of environmental problems - China.
