I am 100% with you on the LOAN, NO BAILOUT!
I seem to remember in 2003 John Kerry insisted that funding for nation building in Iraq be provided in the form of a loan, which he voted FOR, the way Bush said it would be paid for before any votes were cast and we invaded. Then Bush and the republicans insisted we couldn't "strap Iraq with the financial burden" and changed the funding to be completely on the taxpayers back, which Kerry voted AGAINST. Hence, "HE VOTED FOR IT BEFORE HE VOTED AGAINST IT"
The "IT" here would be "LOAN OR GIFT", I don't seem to remember that being debated much during the 2004 campaign, it was just "HE VOTED FOR IT BEFORE HE VOTED AGAINST IT" over and over and over again. Where was the "liberal" media on that one?
Now we are sitting here having the same debate about the financial institution crisis, "LOAN OR GIFT"???
One thing for sure, McCain was FOR DEREGULATION of investment banks before he was against it....
