Interestingly, we agree on the bailout Roger. However, what is holding it up? Conservative Republicans. Looks like you and I are in a bit of a quandry with our political affilations and candidate support. Your Democratic House, Senate and candidate are all pushing for it and whining that it is being held up.
McCain has surely dissppointed me on this one for sure as I would suspect your candidate has as well. I frankly have been praying for a good recession for years as they are not not all bad and clean things up. I would prefer the hard and tought times for a spell with a recovery coming faster than letting it linger for a decade or so as FDR caused after the Depression. I say let it ride and whatever happens happens. And, for the record, after studying the mortgage debacle, I have changed my views with the mortgage bailout and the such for these smae reasons and who cares if some cannot afford a house.
As for the divide and conquer you speak of. That has been Obama's MO throughout the election cycle and the sort of tactics you and some others have used around here. The personal attacks are every level from discussions with other voters all the way to the top, and will leave battle scars for decades in my opinion and sure to prohibit the parties working together at any point in the near future. My experiences with people like you and watching what has gone on has been such that I probably will never split a ticket again.
